Job Title : Phlebotomist/ Sr. Phlebotomist : Max Lab

Reporting Supervisor :Pathologist/ AM-Field Operations

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out sampling/phlebotomy of various samples along with testing of samples received for pathology examination and ensure correct results and reports are generated and reach the patient/clinician at the required time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities

• To effectively interface with patients, attendants, nursing staff and service users.
• To demonstrate skills in handling blood & sample collection.
• To do phlebotomy/ sampling of patients/subjects
• To strictly follow and implement the laboratory SOPs and Quality assurance programs and monitor quality indicators if any.
• To maintain all documentation pertaining to sample collection.
• To ensure packaging as per procedure and safe transportation.
• To implement infection control policy & proper waste disposal.
• To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
• To comply with patient safety policy.
• To ensure safe utilization of equipment like centrifuge and temperature devices, ensure its timely calibration and maintenance.
• To participate in all training programs.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Consistently facilitates accuracy & timeliness in sampling.
• Knowledgeable about various Q.A programs in laboratory and is able to effectively implement them.
• Optimal utilization of equipment and material resources.
• Follow Instruction manuals of all equipment in 100% cases.

Minimum Qualifications

10+2 with Diploma (MLT)

B.sc (MLT)
