As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for a strategic Head of Finance who will drive financial leadership, fundraising, and investor trust - while partnering closely with business leaders to enable scale.

Role Overview:

This is a high-impact leadership role for a finance professional who blends strategic insight with hands-on execution. You'll lead all aspects of finance - from fundraising and investor relations to business analytics and ESOP strategy - helping build a future-ready organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising & Investor Management:

- Lead end-to-end fundraising processes: financial modelling, valuation, data room prep, investor presentations, and due diligence.

- Act as the finance lead in board and investor interactions, ensuring transparency and credibility through high-quality, consistent reporting.

- Support capital structuring and equity management in alignment with long-term business strategy.

Strategic Financial Planning:

- Own the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning models.

- Drive visibility on key business metrics - burn rate, runway, CAC, LTV, ARR/MRR, contribution margin, and payback period.

- Partner with product and GTM teams on pricing, monetization models, and market entry plans.

Business Finance & Decision Support:

- Build a strong business finance engine - focus on unit economics, department-level profitability, and capital efficiency.

- Set up frameworks for ROI analysis on strategic projects, hiring plans, and product investments.

- Enable real-time dashboards and actionable insights to support cross-functional decision-making.

Accounting, Compliance & Controls:

- Oversee accounting operations, audits, tax, and regulatory compliance (Income Tax, GST, TDS, ROC, etc.).

- Establish internal controls, risk management policies, and scalable systems as the company grows.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of MIS, cash flow statements, and statutory filings.

ESOP Strategy & Ownership Culture

- Lead the design and implementation of ESOP structures aligned with fundraising and talent strategy.

- Manage the cap table and equity allocation, ensuring compliance, documentation, and employee education.

- Collaborate with leadership to build a culture of ownership and long-term value creation through equity incentives.

Team & Systems Leadership

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team that can scale with the business.

- Evaluate and implement tech-enabled finance tools for forecasting, analytics, and operational efficiency.

Who You Are:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA Finance.

- 8-12 years of experience in VC-backed startups, preferably in product/tech environments.

- Demonstrated success in fundraising, investor relations, business finance, and strategic planning.

- Deep understanding of startup metrics, SaaS or consumption-based models (if applicable), and ESOP governance.

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative leader with strong business acumen.
