Marsh & McLennan - Financial Controller (3-5 yrs)

Job Summary:

- The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

- This role is pivotal in driving financial efficiency, risk management, and strategic decision-making support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis process.

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.

- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

- Implement and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and policies.

- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.

- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

- Mentor and lead the accounting/finance team, driving continuous improvement.

- Support mergers, acquisitions, or investment activities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).

- Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) required.

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP), and tax laws.

- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite).

- High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

- Excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
