RTOS Developer - Firmware (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Firmware RTOS Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems development with extensive experience working on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS). You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining robust and efficient firmware for various embedded products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement firmware for embedded systems using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, ThreadX, VxWorks, etc.)

- Develop device drivers and low-level firmware to interface with hardware components.

- Optimize existing firmware for performance and reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and QA teams to define system requirements.

- Conduct debugging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting of firmware issues.

- Ensure firmware meets performance, quality, and security standards.

- Maintain documentation for code, design, and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.

- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development.

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.

- Experience with one or more RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks, ThreadX, etc.).

- Good understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).

- Experience in using debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in ARM Cortex-M series or similar architectures.

- Familiarity with secure coding practices and bootloaders.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes.

- Knowledge of communication protocols like BLE, Wi-Fi, or CAN is a plus.
