NetAnalytiks - IT Automation Engineer - IAC Terraform (6-8 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Automation Engineer to design, build, and manage automation solutions that streamline IT operations, infrastructure, and processes.

The ideal candidate should have solid scripting skills, experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), configuration management tools, and a mindset for continuous improvement through automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement automation workflows for IT infrastructure provisioning, software deployments, system configurations, and routine maintenance tasks.

- Develop and maintain scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages to automate manual IT tasks.

- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.

- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and IT Operations teams to identify automation opportunities and implement robust, repeatable solutions.

- Create and maintain monitoring and alerting automation using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.

- Manage CI/CD pipelines and automate software delivery processes using GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

- Ensure security and compliance through automated patching, auditing, and configuration enforcement.

- Document automation workflows, scripts, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

- Continuously assess and improve existing automation strategies and tools to maximize efficiency and reliability.

Technical Skills & Tools :

Scripting & Programming :

- Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell

- Familiarity with Go or Ruby is a plus

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :

- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack

CI/CD & DevOps Tools :

- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, or CircleCI

- Containerization tools like Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes

Cloud & Virtualization :

- Working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

- Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies

Monitoring & Logging :

- Use of monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix

- Centralized logging with ELK Stack, Fluentd, or Splunk

Security & Compliance Automation :

- Knowledge of automated patch management, compliance scanning (e.with OpenSCAP, Nessus)

- Familiarity with security baselines and hardening tools

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and collaboration

- Process-oriented mindset with attention to reliability and repeatability

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline

- Certifications like HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Red Hat Ansible Specialist, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus

- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
