Solution Architect - Java (10-18 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Serve as a solution-oriented architect within an autonomous, cross-team architecture group, defining and enforcing best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines for Java-based systems.

- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions, ensuring that all architectural decisions are aligned with business goals and technical feasibility.

- Collaborate closely with other architects, product managers, engineering leads, and developers across multiple locations to develop holistic solutions, facilitate decision-making, and promote architectural consistency.

- Communicate the impact of architectural changes clearly to stakeholders, advocating for sound design principles and sustainable architectural practices.

- Proactively identify potential risks or issues in solutions and propose effective alternatives or mitigation strategies.

- Evaluate, recommend, and create tools and frameworks that support efficient development, deployment, and maintenance of Java-based applications.

- Keep current with industry innovations in Java, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and related technologies through continuous learningsharing knowledge across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.

- 10-15 years of full-cycle software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering multiple complex applications or technology solutions.

- Extensive hands-on experience in Java development, with deep knowledge of Java SE/EE, APIs, and JVM ecosystem.

- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, including microservices, event-driven architecture, RESTful API design and best practices, and common architectural patterns (e.g., Layered, Hexagonal, CQRS).

- Expertise in object-oriented programming, functional programming paradigms, and modern design patterns in Java and related JVM languages like Kotlin or Scala.

- Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-availability systems using Java.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and influence technical direction across teams.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable :

- Experience working in high-traffic, scalable enterprise or fintech environments.

- Previous experience in a central architecture team or function overseeing enterprise-wide Java solutions.

- Background in startup or fast-paced product environments.

- Knowledge of DevOps practices, monitoring, and performance tuning for Java applications.
