12 month contract. My client are looking for an experienced SAP Functional architect with Funds management experience to join them and guide their stakeholders through S4 hana implementations throughout Europe.

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Architect with a strong background in Funds Management and Public Sector Management to lead and deliver enterprise-scale SAP solutions. This individual will play a strategic role in designing and implementing complex SAP architectures, particularly within S/4HANA landscapes in the pharmaceutical or consumer goods industries. The ideal candidate brings both deep functional knowledge and broad consulting experience, with a proven track record of end-to-end SAP Finance transformations.

Title : SAP Functional architect.

Location : Mostly remote. Occasional workshops throughout Europe (Travel expensed).

Duration : 12 months + extension.

Start Date : ASAP.

Requirements :

- 10+ years SAP experience.

- 5+ years solution architecture experience.

- Deep understanding of SAP Funds management and public sector management processes.

- Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA for pharma or consumer goods industries company.

- Previous consulting experience working in large consultancies.

- End-to-end SAP Finance process experience.

- SAP certifications in Funds management or public sector management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and architecture of SAP solutions, with a focus on Funds Management and Public Sector Management modules.

- Develop scalable, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements.

- Guide the configuration and integration of SAP S/4HANA solutions across Finance and related modules.

- Spearhead full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations for enterprise clients, particularly in the pharma or consumer goods industries.

- Define and document best practices for functional processes, ensuring consistency and quality across implementations.

- Work closely with senior business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.

- Serve as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor on SAP Financial processes and architecture.

- Provide leadership and mentorship to functional consultants and cross-functional delivery teams.

- Oversee SAP project lifecycles from blueprinting and design through deployment and post-go-live support.

- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Manage change requests, issue resolution, and scope alignment with project goals.

- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance system performance and business process efficiency.

- Stay current on SAP innovations and roadmap updates, recommending applicable enhancements or upgrades.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with a strong emphasis on Finance, Funds Management, and Public Sector Management.

- 5+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture, with deep knowledge of S/4HANA implementations.

- Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA solutions in the pharmaceutical or consumer goods industries.

- End-to-end expertise in SAP Finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R).

- Strong knowledge of SAP Funds Management (FM) and Public Sector Management (PSM) functionalities.

- SAP certifications in Funds Management and/or Public Sector Management.

- Previous consulting experience with large consultancies (Big Four or global SAP system integrators preferred).

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in fast-paced environments.

- Knowledge of industry-specific solutions for pharma or FMCG within SAP S/4HANA.

- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.

- Experience in data migration, testing strategies, and cutover planning.

- Exposure to integration with non-SAP systems and third-party tools.
