• you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department in a hospitality or service-oriented environment
• This role involves managing housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, and contributing to a positive guest experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Management:Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including room attendants, janitors, and other cleaning staff
• Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing guidance to ensure high-quality service
• Scheduling:Develop and manage housekeeping schedules, taking into account peak occupancy periods and staff availability
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
• Quality Assurance:Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established standards
• Implement quality control measures and address any deficiencies promptly
• Inventory Management:Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies and equipment
• Coordinate with the procurement department to replenish supplies as needed
• Guest Relations:Respond to guest inquiries and requests related to housekeeping services
• Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns in a timely and effective manner
• Training and Development:Provide training to housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
• Performance Evaluation:Conduct performance evaluations for housekeeping team members
• Recognize and reward exceptional performance and address areas for improvement
• Budget Management:Assist in the development and management of the housekeeping budget
• Control expenses and seek cost-effective solutions
• Health and Safety:Ensure that housekeeping staff follow safety protocols and guidelines
• Implement measures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Communication:Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure smooth hotel operations
• Attend regular meetings and provide updates on housekeeping activities
• Reporting:Generate reports on housekeeping performance, occupancy rates, and other relevant metrics
• Provide regular updates to management

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality is a plus
• Proven experience in housekeeping roles, with supervisory or team leadership experience
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and housekeeping best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with hospitality industry software for scheduling and inventory management
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Leadership and motivational skills
