Role & responsibilities

• Maintain Safe and healthful workplace with coordination with all team members.
• Maintain health and safety system as per Factory act and Maharashtra Factory Rules.
• Responsible to Implement and maintain compliance to ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Coordinate the Magna Health, Safety and Environment Audit and complete the corrective actions with the support of Team members.
• Ensure Work permit system followed for all external work and ensure compliance to work permit standards.
• Prepare, Implement and communicate Magna Health Safety and Environment Standards and procedures in the division.
• Training and awareness to employees about safe working procedures and practices.
• Ensure that all safety equipment related inspections are performed as per schedule.
• Ensure employee engagement and participation in Environment, Heath and Safety programs/initiatives.
• Coordination with team to conduct Accident / Incident Investigation and ensure the corrective actions implementation on time.
• Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential health and safety hazards, recommend corrective and preventive measures where indicated.
• Consult with departments on design and use of equipment, shops, fire prevention and safety program.
• Identify potential emergencies and preparation and implementation of emergency preparedness plan according to health and safety Rules and Regulation.
• Conduct periodic mock-drills to ensure the emergency preparedness and implement the corrective measures on identification/observations collected during the drills.
• Update Health Safety and Environment data on the online servers and maintain the records.
• Communicate with government agencies like MPCB, Factory Inspector, Fire Officer, PESO, MIDC, etc. and ensure the all statutory compliances.
• Submit annual returns, reports to legal authorities related to EHS on time.
• Management of Hazardous Waste and maintain the record.
• Coordinate and conduct the Joint Health and Safety Committee Meeting.
• Monitoring of ETP & STP operations.
• Conduct periodical inspections and maintain the records.
• Preparation of monthly MIS / EHS Bulletin.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Promote a culture of safety awareness across all levels of the plant workforce.
• Conduct mock drills (fire, chemical spill, etc.) and facilitate emergency preparedness plans.
• Conduct safety Training
