JOB PURPOSE:
- Sales & Technical Consultant with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in selling and providing technical consulting for AVEVA Monitoring & Control and Information Management software at CXO level.
- Will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and acting as a subject matter expert for AVEVA solutions, guiding clients through their digital transformation journey.
- This role requires a strong blend of sales acumen, technical proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
- Selling industrial software solutions, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), the PI System, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) offerings, to achieve sales targets and expand market presence within the designated region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development (60%):
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities for AVEVA Monitoring & Control (e.g., System Platform, InTouch HMI, Historian, Insight) and Information Management (e.g., MES, Operations Control, Production Management) software within target industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Power, Water, Pharma).
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales opportunities and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical workshops to prospective and existing clients, showcasing the value proposition of AVEVA solutions.
- Collaborate with the regional & technical team to develop and execute targeted campaigns and lead generation activities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within client organizations.
- Understand customer challenges, pain points, and business objectives to propose tailored AVEVA solutions that address their specific needs.
- Customer consulting & hunting approach is must.
- Preparation of attractive techno-commercial offer with costing associated with it.
Technical Consulting & Solution Design (40%):
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for AVEVA Monitoring & Control and Information Management solutions.
- Conduct detailed technical requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand their operational needs and existing infrastructure.
- Design and architect comprehensive AVEVA solutions, including system architecture, software configurations, and integration strategies.
- Provide initial technical guidance and support during the pre-sales and post-sales phases, including proof-of-concept (POC) development and pilot projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with AVEVA support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AVEVA product releases, updates, and industry trends.

- 2-4 years of direct experience in selling and/or implementing AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) Monitoring & Control and Information Management software.
This must include hands-on experience with:
- AVEVA System Platform (ArchestrA System Platform)
- AVEVA InTouch HMI
- AVEVA Historian (formerly Wonderware Historian)
- AVEVA Insight (Cloud-based OMI)
- Experience with AVEVA MES, Operations Control, Production Management, or similar Information Management solutions is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B technology sales environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation concepts, SCADA systems, HMI development, data acquisition, and process control.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server) and network protocols.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
- Should be technical graduate and MBA Marketing will be added advantage.
