StuCred - Senior Legal Associate - Corporate Law - LLB (3-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict and proactive compliance with all Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, other applicable NBFC laws, and relevant financial services statutes.

- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal agreements with customers, vendors, partners, and other third parties, ensuring protection of the company's interests.

- Audit & Review: Conduct regular (e.g., quarterly) legal audits and reviews of vendor and partner agreements to ensure adherence to terms and regulatory requirements.

- Dispute & Litigation Management: Effectively handle legal disputes, manage litigation processes, and coordinate closely with external legal counsel when necessary, representing the company's legal position.

- Cross-Functional Advisory: Provide expert legal advice and support to internal departments including Human Resources (HR), Secretarial, and Finance teams on various legal matters, policy frameworks, and compliance issues.

- Regulatory Intelligence: Stay continuously current with evolving NBFC regulations, directives, and legal precedents, proactively offering strategic legal insights and recommendations to the management.

- Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's legal and financial standing.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.

- Experience: 3-5 years of dedicated legal experience, specifically within the NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) or Financial Services sector.

- NBFC Regulatory Expertise: Strong and comprehensive grasp of NBFC regulations, RBI guidelines, and Indian corporate law relevant to the financial services industry.

- Legal Skills: Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

- Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to perform as an independent contributor and a confident decision-maker, taking ownership of legal responsibilities.
