Location: Johannesburg (Roodepoort), South Africa
Job Type: Contract (12 Months Possible Extension)
Start Date: Immediate joiners preferred (must be ready to travel within 12 weeks upon selection)

We are hiring for a senior-level opportunity with one of our esteemed clients in the telecom domain, a leading technology-driven organization in Africa. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced AI Platform Architect to join on an immediate basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement enterprise-scale AI platforms that integrate with IT and cloud environments.
  
• Lead deployment and optimization of AI solutions across complex, large-scale environments.
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enable scalable, secure, and robust AI infrastructure.
  
• Drive best practices in MLOps, API management, and platform monitoring.
  

Skills & Experience Required:

• 8+ years of experience in AI platform architecture and deployment, preferably in telecom or similarly complex environments.
  
• Strong knowledge in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
  
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in the context of AI and telecom.
  
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes.
  
• Deep understanding of telecom networks (e.g., 5G, IoT, edge computing) and how AI technologies can enhance them.
  
• Solid understanding of security protocols, data privacy, and secure access in AI and telecom domains.
  
• Experience in fast-paced, dynamic work environments, delivering high-impact solutions.
  

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• Relevant certifications in AI/cloud/data engineering are an advantage.
  

Additional Information:

• This is a contractual opportunity for 12 months, with the potential for extension.
  
• Selected candidates must be available to relocate to South Africa (Johannesburg – Roodepoort) within 1–2 weeks of selection.
