Manager/Assistant Manager - Data Analyst (4-8 yrs)

Job Description

We are seeking a data-driven Finance Analytics Specialist with strong expertise in Python and SQL , preferably within the banking or financial services sector . The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop analytical solutions that enhance financial insights, risk management, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, automate, and optimize financial analytics models using Python and SQL .

- Analyze large datasets to extract insights related to banking operations, financial performance, and risk metrics .

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Build dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and present findings in a business-friendly format.

- Work on data validation, cleansing, and transformation tasks to ensure data quality.

- Support compliance, regulatory, and internal financial reporting through robust data pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib/seaborn, etc.)

- Advanced SQL skills - writing complex queries, performance tuning, data extraction and manipulation

- Experience in the banking or financial services industry is essential

- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as P&L, balance sheets, credit risk, etc.

- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI , Tableau , or Plotly is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data handling and processing

- Familiarity with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
