Senior Application Architect - Java/Python (14-18 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a Senior Application Architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, high-performance applications across our technology ecosystem. You will play a strategic role in shaping the technical foundation of our platform, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring systems are built for performance, reliability, and long-term growth. This is a critical leadership position for someone passionate about building modern architectures that power business success.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, review, and evolve the architecture of large-scale, distributed, and microservices-based systems.

- Define, document, and enforce architectural best practices and coding standards.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with product and business stakeholders.

- Create architectural blueprints, data flow diagrams, and high-level design documentation.

- Lead evaluation and selection of tools, technologies, and frameworks to support scalability, maintainability, and innovation.

- Conduct technical design sessions and build consensus on architecture decisions across teams.

- Ensure applications meet SLAs for performance, availability, and reliability; proactively address latency and failure recovery concerns.

- Mentor engineering teams in architecture principles, clean code, and design patterns.

- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure support the application needs.

- Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI, cloud-native tools) and drive adoption where relevant.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience (10+ years) in application architecture and software engineering.

- Expertise in Microservices Architecture and cloud-native design.

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

- Proficiency in both Python and Java, with a strong understanding of backend systems and API design.

- Deep knowledge of scalability patterns, caching strategies, and distributed system principles.

- Experience with Generative AI tools, frameworks, or integration into applications is a strong plus.

- Solid experience in at least one major cloud platform (Azure or GCP) and familiarity with the other.

- Strong understanding of system performance tuning, fault tolerance, and monitoring practices.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience leading architecture for enterprise-grade platforms or SaaS products.

- Knowledge of security best practices, data privacy, and compliance in cloud-native applications.

- Background in DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability.
