Role Overview As a Senior Copywriter , you will be the creative force behind TimesPros social media presence, specializing in crafting compelling content for static posts, reels, and video content. You will work closely with our social media and design teams to develop engaging hooks, frames, and complete video constructs that resonate with our target audience. Your expertise in short-form content creation and understanding of social media trends will be crucial in driving engagement and building our brand presence across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities Social Media Content Creation : Write engaging copy for Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook posts, including captions, hashtags, and call-to-actions that drive audience engagement and brand awareness.
Reels & Video Content : Develop compelling hooks, storylines, and scripts for reels and video content, conceptualizing the overall construct from opening frames to final call-to-action.
Static Content Writing : Create impactful copy for social media graphics, carousels, infographics, and promotional posts that communicate key messages effectively within limited space.
Contest & Campaign Development : Design and execute creative contests, challenges, and interactive campaigns that engage our target audience and boost social media presence.
Internal Communications : Write clear and engaging internal communications including company updates, announcements, team communications, and employee-focused content.
Content Planning : Collaborate with the social media team to plan content calendars, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms.
Trend Analysis : Stay updated with social media trends, viral content formats, and platform-specific features to create relevant and timely content.
Performance Optimization : Monitor content performance and engagement metrics to refine writing strategies and improve audience connection.
Brand Consistency : Maintain TimesPros brand voice while adapting tone and style for different social media platforms and target audiences.
Job Requirement
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
3-5 years of proven experience in social media copywriting with a strong portfolio showcasing engaging social media content, reels, and video scripts.
Reels Writing Experience : Prior experience in writing for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar short-form video content is highly preferred.
Excellent command of English language with exceptional grammar skills and strong creative writing and storytelling abilities.
Ability to write engaging content in both English and Hinglish, understanding the nuances of each style for different audience segments.
Deep understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and content formats that perform well on each platform.
Ability to create compelling hooks and engaging content that captures attention within the first few seconds.
Experience in writing internal communications and employee engagement content.
Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple social media campaigns simultaneously.
Creative mindset with ability to conceptualize complete video constructs and storylines.
Preferred Skills Experience creating content for young adults audience (18-24 years), understanding their language, interests, and social media behavior.
Understanding of current social media trends, viral content formats, and platform algorithms.
Experience in writing contest mechanics and campaign rules.
Basic understanding of video production process and collaboration with video editors.
Knowledge of different content formats like carousels, infographics, and story content.
Experience with employee engagement and internal communication strategies.
Acting ability for reels - Comfortable appearing on camera and acting in social media content would be a significant advantage.
