Budget 2025 was a bummer!

I am earning 13.5 lpa and appraisal would be around 8-9% this year...so next fiscal year I would be earning around 14.6. it is kind of disappointing to see how a person who earns less than me gets more money in hand and it would take me almost two more years and appraisals to get that money in hand. Any clarifications or suggestions on tax saving is appreciated!..thanks

[yourscrewdriver](username) What so stupid ? Sab kuch free m chahiye kya ? for any nation Tax is required to develop the nation. I know things are not that great in our country but this tax region is great for people with low salary, but government cant make everyone happy

If you're talking about new regime, there is a concept of marginal relief. So your taxes will be limited to the differential over and above the no tax amount. No one will ever get more in hand (although they may get the same amount) if your salary if more than them.

If you haven't already done so, look into the new tax regime and see if it suits your profile better. Some people find it easier to manage with fewer exemptions.
