Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?

My nephew worked with TCS for 3 years before switching organizations where he is now there for more than 9 years now. While he was extremely happy with the culture of the organization and job security, the career progression was slow. However, please set your priorities right as this could be the situation in any other future organization.

@dhrushil Hmmm🤔🤔 ok so... To start as an estimation engineer for pressure vessels or heat exchangers: 1️⃣ Learn design codes like ASME/API and tools like PV Elite. 2️⃣ Research top companies and their processes. 3️⃣ Take relevant courses on platforms like Udemy. Have you started exploring these?

But one of my seniors suggested better be a professional in one category rather than keeping an eye on different things. If we are able to do some good hard work your suggestion will be a good one though.
