1. Gkn holds very less project. 2. Job security is not at all there. They just ask you to leave in a month notice. 3. 30% people were layed off recently. 4. It's like a freelancing to work in GKN. They hold you with good package and work from home till project goes to sop. After that they will lay you off. 5. They don't even give you a proper notice.

worst work culture, political environment, no job security, 12 hrs of work on daily basis, no personal life, unskilled management. mass firing going on.

They paid really well in comparison to market. Job security was good for me as I was part of very small team. Skill development was also good. Culture was good within my team, manager was excellent as person as well as on Technical understanding. Amol and Hari both are really good!!

Too much pressure interms of releases during my time, not sure now!

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF RESOURCE REDUCTION IN COMING DAYS, SO BETTER NOT TO JOIN FOR WHATEVER CTC. THERE ARE NO PROJECTS IN HAND AND ALL THE CURRENT PROJECTS ARE IN END PHASE. THERE IS VERY HIGH ATTRITION AND NO ONE IS WILLING TO JOIN THE COMPANY. A PROJECT WHERE 10-15 PEOPLE MUST BE PRESENT IS MANAGED BY 5 PEOPLE. THERE IS NO FORECAST FOR >4 MONTHS. NO PROJECTS IN HAND. MANAGEMENT CONVENIENTLY SKIPS THE QUESTIONS RELATED TO FUTURE. 1) There is no concept of onsite/deputation. 2) GKN India is a service provider company of GKN Germany. No decision making happens in India. Even to click OK in some tools, Germans have to say yes. Managers in India don't get to say anything. 3) German junior engineers have more decision making power than Indian Managers. 4) There is no function (ASW) development. Only BSW/BLDR development happens in India. ASW projects are only maintenance and unit testing. 5) A LOT OF people have left the company for the above reasons.
