Salary hike is worst, while appraisal discussion they'll give an idea or hint you about the next year appraisal as well that it would be like this, expect in single digit that too lower side of it after putting a lot of hard work.

If your boss is a good person and supports the one who has skills and experience and wishes to push you ahead only based on those, and not caste colour or creed. Doesn't get manipulated by staffs that come from their previous team. Then you will grow very quick in the organisation

Once a person is easy to manipulate and is toxic is nature tries to pull you down even if you are the best person, then it's difficult to even breathe in the organisation. No HR no higher person no one can help you all you can do it try and get out.
