I worked at Wockhardt Hospital from September 2014 to April 2025, dedicating myself to my role with precision and commitment. Over the years, I gained valuable experience in medical calculations, laboratory procedures, and structured professional communication. However, despite my dedication, several challenges made my experience frustrating. What I liked about working at Wockhardt Hospital: - I had the opportunity to refine my technical skills and expertise in laboratory processes. - The work allowed me to build strong analytical skills and attention to detail. What I disliked about working at Wockhardt Hospital: - There was no fair system for promotions—despite company policy stating promotions should occur every three years, I never received one in my ten-year tenure. - My salary increments were minimal Rs.100, Rs. 200, and Rs. 200 over three years. For two of those years, I was given a “needs improvement” rating, not based on my actual performance but because the company said someone had to get it. - My designation was changed unfairly. I was originally a Senior Laboratory Technician but was demoted to Lab Technician after 2.5 years. Later, in 2023-2024, my senior post was reinstated, but they framed it as a promotion when it was simply a reversal of the earlier demotion. - Salary discrepancies colleagues who initially earned Rs. 1,000 less than me eventually earned Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 more, leaving me behind financially despite my experience and tenure. - Limited opportunities for skill development, which affected long-term career growth. Work-Life Balance & Skill Development Despite my commitment to professional growth, opportunities for skill enhancement were limited, which affected career progression and overall job satisfaction. The workload often felt imbalanced, making it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance<mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">. This significantly impacted my financial progression. Company Culture & Job Security There were evident inconsistencies in promotion practices and employee recognition. Additionally, long-term job security felt uncertain due to the organization’s approach to promotions and evaluations. Designation & Promotion Concerns - I joined as a Senior Laboratory Technician in 2014. Human resource is of no use in wockhardt hospitals because it does nothing for the employee and does not appose him if something goes wrong. I joined as Senior Lab Technician in September 2014 but within 2 years my senior post was wrongfully removed by the then pathologist dr. Charu pamnanni and Hr head Mukul Sharma are responsible.I am going to complete 9 years since I joined but still I am very sad that no post has been given<mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">.
