GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

I had a terrible experience working for Amity University. They lack all modern HR policies be it cultural or compensation vise. The top management takes all decisions irrespective of subject matter expertise. They boast of these huge buildings and infrastructure, but there are no clean washroom facilities or drinking water.

Amity is a global leader in education sector and I'm proud to be a part of it. One can retire from this company without changing any further job. Environment of working is good.

  • Job security - Good

Dislikes

Petty politics, general negative environment, gossip culture, groupism and zero professionalism. HOIs are dummies who are there to support the ones they like especially in the creative departments. No professional training or workshops for upgradation of employees. No funding for anything. No concern for formulating policies for women's or students safety. Gender based bias, harassment is considered totally acceptable from male senior colleagues as no background checks are done before hiring. The HR favours those who put up with everything that is thrown at their way without question. The HR at head office doesn't not care to resolve any issues with the employees. A few incompetent people have been working here for years and are highly insecure and try all kinds of tactics to push out the competent ones from the University. The higher authorities at the Kolkata campus are too occupied in favouring their own people and playing safe to actually think about the wellbeing of the employees or people without bias. The appraisals and increments are irregular and unpredictable, the management seems to have given up on this campus as it is beyond repair. Happy to have left.

Timely salary

Dislikes

There is no culture as such except petty politics and gossip. No scope for growth and no peace of mind.Poor management and lack of basic facilities. The higher authorities are just dummies. There are no proper security for women and no training or upgradation of the staff as to how to behave in a professional environment. The bar is very low and they only talk about values in orientation and meetings but they uphold none. They are only concerned about getting more admissions and projects and fundings etc. VIP culture reigns supreme and important matters are overlooked.HR is of no use at the head office and at Kolkata.
