No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. There is nothing to like in the Company except that you dont have to spend money on buying Shoes and Decent attire

...lose to workplace. No predefined Training module exists. No Work Process exists. I was getting a average Salary but others were paid meager amount. Company doesnt have a clear vision about what they want to do or achieve. They just want to jump into anything that pops up without knowing if they have the required skill and support systems, pathetic.

Dislikes

No regular personnel performance monitoring at all. There will be once in five years bonanza of promotions and salary hikes. This will go in favor of unscrupulous persons'. HRD practices are at its worst, they don't bother to discuss issues with employees, just pass orders on one-sided feedbacks. Poor material management & monitoring resulting in mis storage, mishandling and damage of materials resulting in delay of projects. Contract management & monitoring people will be in deep sleep and suddenly will open their eyes suddenly at the closing of the project.
