There is always a rush in taking decisions from CEO. every quarter you see some members being fired and teams shrink, new acquisitions and firing teams which they don't want. In one sentence. "Neither you can plan life nor career when you are part of such company." The captain (CEO) always rocks the ships even there are no tides. It is the first company to call employees to office when there was no vaccine for covid if they don't want to come, they have to submit resignation. "Employee will be used a toilet paper."

Likes

The salary and compesation package are competitive, which is one of the few positives of working here. The company pays well compared to other industry, which is motivating factor of staying here.

Dislikes

Working at Broadcom has been a high stress experience with very little sense of job security. There's constant fear of layoffs and that anxiety makes it difficult to focus or enjoy the work. The culture lacks any real sense of fun or employee engagement - its very rigid and task oriented. Additionally, there's no flexibility when it comes to remote work. the company has strick in-office policy, especially, whne other companies are offering hybrid or remote options. The overall atmosphere often feels tense and its hard to feel motivated or valued as an employee.

Dislikes

Robotic response. They have policies which are compliant with all government standards but always fall on the lower side. For example, during covid period, they allowed everyone to work from home till the point government rules forced it. The moment government said people can go to office, they forced everyone to come to office, no matter what. A friend of mine and his wife both worked with Broadcom, and they had a baby about 1 year old. They were stone cold to their mental state. Imagine both parents travelling to office, without any dayhome for the kid and forced to manage somehow, or quit the job.
