The day I found out my colleague earns 30% more for the same role
It was an accidental slip. A teammate mentioned her CTC while we were chatting casually. Same designation, same team, joined after me but her salary was almost 30% more. My stomach dropped. I spent days debating whether to bring it up. I didn’t want to come off as insecure or difficult. But I also couldn’t un-know what I knew. Eventually, I had an honest, data-backed conversation with my manager. Turns out, I was right and they revised my pay. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me this: silence doesn’t protect you. Companies run on numbers. If you don’t negotiate, you leave money on the table. Have you ever been in a similar spot? How did you navigate it?

Working about a full life in DGAC all my coworkers are extremely professional and with a very deeply knowledge about the job and the total country responsibility the delicate and the safety job that we did every day is definitely one of the most importantly in aeronautical but with less benefits in health and very much important in how much money can you earn in this important job . The balance in years of experience with the job’ s satisfaction is incredible meanwhile our money are still giving us by the Air Force , we earn USD 2500 in a month that’s are a few more of 24 thousand annually . No explanation about. The politics are the same we work under the ATCO mínimums but our employer is the Air Force.

I think the the end salary and the end of the days of an air traffic controller are disgusting. You have a lot of experience but can’t to use it and in well worth about our DGAC. It’s impossible to travel within chile or international flight with free air ticket . It’s not allowed, beside within our DGAC belonging the Air Force it’s imposible to get some air force flight at any time our preferences boarding are the last one .

Bureaucracy, bosses are egoist, each one tries to pull down the other, sort of Master and Slave relationship, no insurance to do bomb scare checks, not much of scope for promotion, very risky and responsibility, many a times become scapegoat.
