GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

1) In some teams we have guys who like working 24*7 which sets wrong expectations and unhealthy work life balance and managers are more than happy to have such guys in the team. 2) Some super seniors are so reluctant to share knowledge with new team members due to their insecurity . It needs to be checked by MSCI Management. 3) Cloud migration was failure in MSCI Index and new Indian Management is trying to fix this by firing employees despite no faults of their own.

Promotions happen at manager's will. Long serving employees are not recognized for their contribution to the firm. There is no job security. You can get fired anytime. Firm provides parental health insurance at your own cost. Management is biased. Open door policy and many other policies are on paper. Goals assigned for the year keep changing. What goals you set at the start of year, mostly get sidelined as days pass by but then become a talking point during appraisal discussion.

Company culture is not employee friendly. Employees are treated like a robot. You are expected to work for 8 hours non stop and management can anytime ask the breakdown of the task that you did.

There is nothing to like except the salary.

Dislikes

DO NOT JOIN BEFORE YOU READ BELOW 1) The environment is totally toxic. Senior management and HR, are not willing to take any action on the manager even after repeated complaints by all the employees. Language is not corporate at all. 2) This company is not covid friendly. They recalled their employees from 4th Jan even after the cases were rising rapidly and when other companies postponed their plan. 3) Work pressure is there because of lack of mismanagement. You are expected to deliver everything in few hours. 4) Company do not believe in having testing team or designers or business analysts in the team. Developers are supposed to do everything and that's why everything becomes mess because of short available time in a day. It's either God is wrong in having only 24 hrs in a day or this company is way to smart to realise humans are robots. 5) Technology wise, they are way too backward. They don't even have build pipelines yet. They have unwilling to improve and get rid of old practices. 6) All employees leaves before they complete even 1 year. They are constantly hiring but because of the mental torturous work environment, people do not stay. They don't leave because there is too much work but because there is no mental peace.
