Petition to End 90-Day Notice Periods in Indian IT 🚫
Many Indian IT companies still force employees to serve a 90-day notice period. No early release. No buyout. Just 3 months of waiting — even when the new company wants immediate joiners. This affects careers, mental health, and growth. Let’s push for a fairer system maximum 30-day notice like in other countries. 👉 Like this post if you agree. Let’s raise our voice together.

They pay decent salary( slightly above the market average) . Some of the initial projects were good. Since Mar'2020 most of the projects are pretty mundane. In the initial days there was a lot of international travel. During Covid , all travels were stopped. Not sure how much travel will employees get after Covid. Employees get a lot of free time to develop their skill set. Good work life balance. you are mostly free in the evenings.

People at mid senior level are pretty worthless. Senior managers/ Managers do not have subject matter knowledge , forget any IT skill set. Senior managers are limited to project management, reporting , making decks for GMs/DGMs. There is a lot of favoritism in the organization. Department heads will prefer certain candidates and hide their mistakes. There is a lot of talking on the floor. People build castles in thin air and there is no actual work. GM's are primarily focused on staffing. They put pressure on resources to pick up any available project. There is zero importance given to employee aspirations and skillset.

I am able to learn many things. Within 9 months of joining I learned two different technologies and got opportunity to work on it. Also my manager is very supportive and always open to discussion (all this may depend upon your department and project)
