No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

The company is very good there is no problem in the company I really wanted to work in the company but for some reason I was given a break.

Payment does not increase within the company. No bonus on Diwali.😟

Dislikes

No opportunity for growth, due non competative environment, lack of external training. If you are from other place you are treated seperately ( Trichy plant). Management is not serious about what it's producing, no advance infrastructure given in manufacturing process of wind turbine blades.

No body stops you to learn, good experience seniors are there who share there knowledge and experience.

Company is not doing micro management which is good but few people are taking full advantage of that whenever they want they will log in and log out no body cares for simple few hours of work they are taking weeks to complete which will impact company in later stages, also there is no proper workflow for anything, increments get delayed, reimbursement will take sometime 2 months of time and many more flaws can't list it out.
