POSITION SUMMARY

Lead sector-specific business development initiatives to generate Rs.30 -40 Crores annual revenue through strategic client acquisition, relationship management, and team leadership. Drive growth in private sector while ensuring delivery excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute sector-specific business development strategy
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value opportunities (Rs.1-10 Crores)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Lead complex negotiations and contract finalization
  • Manage sales pipeline and ensure consistent revenue flow
  • Coordinate with BS teams for proposal development and technical support
  • Represent company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends in assigned sectors

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage portfolio of 15-20 key clients in assigned sector
  • Conduct regular client meetings and relationship reviews
  • Handle client escalations and ensure satisfaction
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships
  • Serve as primary client contact for ongoing projects
  • Gather client feedback and market intelligenc

  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead and mentor team of 3-4 BD Executives
  • Set individual targets and monitor performance
  • Conduct regular coaching and development sessions
  • Participate in recruitment and training of team members
  • Foster collaborative team environment
  • Share best practices and market insights
  • Support team in complex client situations

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual planning
  • Develop sector-specific go-to-market strategies
  • Analyze market opportunities and competitive positioning
  • Support pricing strategies and proposal development
  • Monitor performance against targets and take corrective actions
  • Prepare regular reports on business performance and market insights
  • Collaborate with other departments for seamless project delivery

Preferred Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: MBA (Marketing/Finance) + B.Tech/B.E. in relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience: 8 -10 years in business development with 5+ years in EPC/PMC/Infrastructure
  • Sales Track Record: Proven success in managing Rs.20+ Crores annual sales
  • Sector Experience: Deep understanding of Government sector
  • Team Leadership: 3+ years experience leading business development teams

Private Sector Track - Additional Requirements:

  • Corporate client relationship management experience
  • International business development exposure an added advantage
  • Understanding of private sector decision-making processes
  • Experience with technology partnerships and joint ventures

  • Consultative selling and solution development
  • Complex negotiation and deal structuring
  • Pipeline management and forecasting
  • Proposal development and presentation skills

  • Deep understanding of EPC/PMC services

  • Awareness of regulatory environment and compliance requirements
