Job Description :

We are looking for a data scientist with strong experience in performing analysis and managing big data. You will be on the forefront of analysis and leverage our data sources to propose new ideas related to every area of our product. You will play a central role in guiding product development and strategy through the discovery of insights from data.

Key Responsibilities :

- Building a data ecosystem spreading across "System of Records", "System of Science" and "System of Insights"

- Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns about the customer behaviour to build customer centric products with human centered design principles for retail ( NRI, HNI, MNI and MICRO ) Corporate ( SME & MSME) customer segments

- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to increase the Digital business and help in Productivity and quality of business

- Develop algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes

- Develop latest machine learning algorithms including decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, regression, and neural networks

- Expert in building predictive models for Life , health and Motor Insurance Domain. Like predictive modelling for Propensity to Pay , Propensity to Laps , Risk Premium, Risk Selection, Fraud Detection, customer Retention or conversion models etc.

- Driving meaningful modelling interventions around Customer Analytics including improving Customer acquisition ,product adoptions, marketing analytics, personalized Campaign , Sales analytics etc & present information using data visualization techniques.

- Working closely with the business teams to build and represent business intelligence reports through automation, build analytics platform and capabilities using AL & ML interventions etc.

Qualification and Experience :

- UG :B.Tech/B.E. in Computers, B.A in Statistics, BCA in Computers, B.Sc in Computers, Statistics

- PG: MCM in Computers and Management, MS/M.Sc(Science) in Computers, Statistics, M.Tech in Computers, M.A in Statistics, MCA in Computers

- 5+ years of coding experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, R, Scala, or PySpark

- Database programming experience both in SQL(MS SQL, Oracle) as well as NoSQL Databases(MongoDB, CouchDB, etc)

The ideal candidate :

- Have deep knowledge in Life , health or General Insurance

- Subject Matter Expertise in high-level scripting languages for statistical and scientific computing including Python, R, Scala, or PySpark

- Expertise in Data Visualization including Matplotlib, plot.ly, C4.js, Dataiku, Tableau, Highcharts, ggplot etc

- Worked in multiple platforms like VBA, R, Python, Qlik, Tableau etc.

- Deep expertise with large data sets and distributed architectures like Hadoop/Spark and open source data mining and machine learning frameworks
