Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and versatile HR Generalist to join our team at a prominent manufacturing company within the Food Processing industry.
Based in Kochi, Kerala, this role will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives, particularly overseeing HR activities at the manufacturing unit level, including critical Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER).
You will work in close coordination with management to foster a productive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizational Design & Change Management: Lead or significantly contribute to organizational design and change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adaptation to evolving business needs within the manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing Unit HR Oversight: Oversee and manage a full spectrum of HR activities at the manufacturing unit level, including but not limited to:
- Industrial Relations (IR): Proactive management of labor relations, union engagement (if applicable), collective bargaining, grievance handling, and maintaining industrial harmony.
- Employee Relations (ER): Addressing employee concerns, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance management support, and fostering a positive work culture.
- Talent acquisition support (recruitment, onboarding).
- Compensation & benefits administration.
- Training and development initiatives.
- HR policy implementation and adherence.
- Management Coordination: Work in close coordination with factory management, providing HR guidance and support to achieve operational excellence and employee well-related goals.
- Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all local labor laws, regulations, and company HR policies.
- HR Operations: Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in HR processes.
- Performance Management: Support the implementation and effectiveness of performance management systems for manufacturing unit employees.
Required Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of working experience in Human Resources, with significant experience in the manufacturing sector at either a Factory or Corporate Office level.
- Industrial & Employee Relations Expertise: Proven expertise in handling Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) within a manufacturing setup.
- Industry Type: Proven experience in the Food Processing Industry is highly preferred.
- Generalist Acumen: Strong generalist HR background with experience across various HR functions.
- Communication: Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage complex HR issues.
- Local Knowledge: Must be a native of Kerala.
- Location: Willingness to relocate to Kochi, Kerala
