1. Carry out risk assessment to identify potential, perceived and present risk to the business and take proactive and practical control measures to reduce, minimize and eliminate identified risk.

2. Interact regularly with management, operations and other functions on matters concerning security, Loss Prevention, associated matters to explain and improve security awareness.

3. Assist RSM and facilitate smooth security infrastructure in order to foster a secure environment for smooth, safe and secure flow of business operations and to keep the losses to the negligible level.

4. Ensuring the security procedures are integrated and aligned to operational requirements each should complement one another and help in effective process flow to reduce risk, losses and assists in enhance business performance.

5. Constant review the performance of SOs and assess and review security and risk control measures to provide security support.

6. Ensuring that the SOs and operations staff are updated on the security procedures and follow it at all times.

7. Keep constant vigil to foresee emerging security threats and incorporate relevant technology such as CCTV, alarm systems and other physical security measures and exploit its full potential for proactive security cover and investigations. Also be responsible to install, manage and maintenance such devices with the help of IT, vendor and other support elements.

8. Provide guidance, support and coordination to Identify, investigate and resolve cases of theft, pilferage, loss to the company with an aim to reduce and recover the loss and apprehend the culprit

9. Assist operation team/ management / custodian of goods/RSM in legal / police matters.

10. Maintain liaison with Police and Government authorities in his area of operation to ensure the companies objectives are met in case of eventualities.

11. Manage outsourced security agency and ensure that security guards are deployed to meet our security requirement. Ensuring that the guards are well aware of their responsibility and comply with the laid down procedures.

12. Assist RSM in security related MIS , trends in losses, operational weaknesses and mitigation/ control measures

13. Assist RSM in security budget assessment, projection and expenditures.

14. Organize training of SOs to keep them abreast with latest trends, developments and functional skills.

15. Ensure SOs work load is justified, their performance appraisal, carrier and succession planning is done to meet companys business objectives

Preferred

• Experience for managing security & vigilance functions.

• Skills, experience & knowledge of modern security methods and controls in logistics industry.

• Proven ability in team management.

• Experience in loss prevention and investigation
