Quality Head - Alloy Wheel Segment (10-15 yrs)

Quality Head

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Head to lead the quality function at our Alloy Wheel manufacturing plant.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Aluminium Gravity Die Casting (GDC), machining, heat treatment, and painting processes, with a proven record in plant-level quality leadership and customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions across the plant

- Ensure adherence to quality standards in Aluminum casting, heat treatment, fettling, machining, and painting

- Drive root cause analysis, defect reduction, and corrective action planning for process improvements

- Review and approve NPD (New Product Development) activities including casting and machining setup

- Oversee documentation and implementation of IATF 16949, OHSAS, and TPM systems

- Handle quality equipment and ensure calibration, accuracy, and operational efficiency

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill customer-specific requirements and audits

- Maintain rejection analysis records and disposal procedures in compliance with company standards

- Utilize 7 QC tools for continuous improvement and decision-making

- Operate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) as per component inspection plans

- Train and mentor the quality team on processes, standards, and improvements

Skills and Technical Competencies:

- In-depth understanding of GDC/Alloy Wheel manufacturing processes

- Strong hands-on knowledge of defect analysis, root cause identification, and CAPA implementation

- Proficiency in using quality tools and techniques (e.g., 7 QC tools, FMEA, 5 Whys)

- Experience in customer audits, handling complaints, and delivering resolution plans

- Familiarity with quality certifications and documentation: IATF 16949, OHSAS

- CMM operation and programming skills are essential
