Application Support Executive

1. Act as a primary point of contact for all production-related issues.
2. Ensure stable operation of IT systems (applications, databases, infrastructure) that support business operations.
3. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues promptly to minimize downtime.
4. Monitor production applications for incidents and issues, analyzing the problems and providing timely solutions.
5. Maintain and update incident logs, ensuring that issues are resolved within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
6. Continuously monitor system performance using various monitoring tools to ensure production systems meet performance expectations.
7. Implement fixes and enhancements to improve overall system reliability.
8. Collaborate with development, testing, and infrastructure teams to deploy new releases or patches.
9. Ensure that any changes to production systems follow the defined Change Management process and do not disrupt business operations.
10. Ensure proper backup and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place and working effectively.
11. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve critical incidents and production issues.
12. Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for incident resolution and system uptime.
13. Maintain and update documentation related to production systems, troubleshooting steps, and operational processes.
14. Work with the security team to ensure that production systems comply with internal and external security requirements.
15. Monitor for security vulnerabilities and collaborate with relevant teams to patch or mitigate risks.
16. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for production systems.
17. Respond to urgent issues that arise outside of regular working hours.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows) and databases (SQL, Oracle).
• Proficient in system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, or similar tools).
• Experience in scripting (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of web servers, application servers, and middleware technologies (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx).
