JOB POSITION and JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Overall responsibility to assist the Legal Department on all corporate legal work with prime focus on drafting and reviewing of commercial contracts, handling corporate litigation matters, notices, arbitration and legal advisory.
Reporting to Senior Director and with the following Job Description:
(i) Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts (including negotiation with external parties and maintain strict adherence to deadlines in relation to these relationships for various business units and corporate functions. Provide advice on contract requirements, legal risks, and liabilities, with research to evaluate risk factors impacting business decisions and operations, and apply effective risk management techniques, offer proactive advice on risk factors
(ii) Responsible for supporting Procurement and business stakeholders throughout the entire contract management cycle and providing support in respect of other legal documents across the business to ensure company rights and interests are protected
(iii) Reviewing existing standard templates and preparing new standard templates for the contracts/agreements required by various BUs and corporate functions.
(iv) Prepare various work status, functional, business review reports and presentations for briefing senior management including but not limited to the parent concern.
(v) Supporting on Knowledge Management initiatives and providing support in awareness sessions for legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements and conducting research work as may be required
(vi) Provide clarification as to the first point of reference to business functions on legal compliance requirements, internal processes and pre-contract due diligence, contract/document drafting and review and related issues
(vii) Partnering with business and rendering practical legal advice/solutions as and when sought. Work alongside other functions and departments to provide accurate and timely advice on various legal topics as and when requested
JOB REQUIREMENT
Lawyer with 4-5 years of PQE or more. The ideal candidate should be a Law graduate with 5 years integrated LLB course from a reputed university with 4-5 years of post-qualification commercial legal experience at a law firm or in-house.
