The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager Team Lead to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an individual with 4-5 years of progressive experience in project management, who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities, mentor junior project managers, and drive successful project delivery. You will be instrumental in overseeing multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while also fostering a high-performing project management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management (60%):
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of multiple complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Monitor project progress, performance, and quality, regularly reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid), and company processes.
- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Champion continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.
Team Leadership & Mentorship (40%):
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 1-3 (adjust number based on actual team size) junior to mid-level Project Managers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on project planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new project management team members.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure equitable workload distribution within the team.
- Act as a point of escalation for project-related issues for the team.
- Identify training needs for the team and recommend relevant development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4-5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentorship role, guiding and developing junior project managers.
