JOB SUMMARY
Mainframe Expert Solutions Architect provides fully hosted solution architecture to meet client and prospective client requests from Infrastructure perspective. They leverage knowledge of IBM mainframe technology to help document, shape, and direct the technology roadmap for our clients. Suggest new technologies or new approaches to achieve business goals. Develop methodologies to integrate technology innovation with existing governance and enterprise architecture processes. Communicate progress and direction through formal presentations, collaborative meetings, and content publishing to mixed audiences
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently provides proven, formal mentorship with different solution complexity level
- High complexity assignments owner
- Moderate complexity assignments owner (1 or >)
- Low complexity assignments - owner or provide oversight to junior team members
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Requires a minimum of 12 years of related mainframe experience
- Candidate must understand
- Mainframe Presales
- Mainframe hardware/peripherals and lifecycle stages
- Mainframe software product licenses
- Roles and responsibility for different resources to manage the mainframe environment.
- Mainframe migration across the data centers etc.
Preferred
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science
- Systems Programming background
- Previous experience in infrastructure architecture and solution design
- Foundational:
- ITILv3
- ITSM
- IBM
- Storage Platforms (EMC, IBM, Hitachi, Oracle)
