Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Mainframes Developer with over 10 years of experience, including a strong background in the Cards and Payments domain.

Cards and Payments Domain :

The Cards and Payments domain encompasses the end-to-end processing of financial transactions using credit, debit, prepaid, and loyalty cards across various channels, including point-of-sale (POS), online, and mobile.

It encompasses in-depth expertise in transaction authorization, clearing, and settlement, as well as integration with card networks (e.g., Visa, MasterCard), adherence to message standards such as ISO 8583, fraud prevention, and compliance with security standards like PCI DSS.

Experience in this domain requires a strong understanding of switching/routing systems, loyalty and rewards integration, and interoperability with banks, issuers, acquirers, and fintech platforms.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

- Strong expertise in the Cards and Payments domain- working with transaction data, card-based offers, loyalty platforms, or payment processing ecosystems.

- In-depth knowledge of financial transaction flows, ISO 8583 messaging, and batch/real-time processing.

- Proficiency in tools like Endevor, File-AID, Abend-AID, TSO/ISPF.

- Solid experience with large-scale banking or financial services systems.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of high-volume mainframe applications related to Cards and Payments transaction systems.

- Act as a technical SME and guide the team through complex mainframe solutions and architecture.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate

them into technical specifications.

- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for card-based payments, loyalty programs, and transaction processing.

- Ensure seamless integration of mainframe systems with external partners, APIs, and third-party services.

- Conduct detailed root cause analysis, system debugging, and production issue resolution.

- Drive performance tuning, code optimization, and mainframe modernization initiatives.

- Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
