Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL and JCL to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL-based applications on IBM mainframes.

- Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing and job automation.

- Perform system analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve issues.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements.

- Ensure data integrity and security in mainframe environments.

- Conduct performance tuning and optimize mainframe applications.

- Work with DB2, VSAM, and CICS for database and transaction processing.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards.

Required Skills :

- Proficiency in COBOL for application development.

- Strong experience with JCL for job control and batch processing.

- Knowledge of DB2, VSAM, and CICS for database and transaction management.

- Experience with debugging tools like Abend-AID and File-AID.

- Understanding of mainframe utilities such as SORT, IDCAMS, and TSO/ISPF.

- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies for software development.
