Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Technician to install, maintain, and repair closed-circuit television systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of surveillance systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques, with a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test CCTV systems, including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and cabling.
- Perform regular maintenance and system inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to video surveillance systems.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, ensuring proper recording and image quality.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and repairs.
- Work with IT and security teams to integrate CCTV with access control and alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, local codes, and company protocols.
- Provide training to users on basic system operations and maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred (e.g., in electronics or security systems).
- Proven experience as a CCTV technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV hardware, software, wiring, and networking.
- Familiarity with IP-based systems and remote monitoring technologies.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to different installation sites (if required).
- Physical ability to lift equipment and work at heights (e.g., ladders or scaffolding).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in low-voltage systems or electronic security systems (e.g., CompTIA, NSI, or equivalent).
- Experience with additional security systems such as access control or intruder alarms.
