Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Evaluation & Risk Assessment:
- Analyze borrower financials, business models, and industry risk to assess creditworthiness.
- Perform due diligence on target companies for debt buyout or resolution opportunities.
- Transaction Structuring:
- Structure and negotiate buyout/restructuring proposals in line with internal policies and regulatory norms.
- Evaluate proposals from ARC (Asset Reconstruction Companies), distressed asset investors, or other institutions.
- Portfolio Management:
- Monitor performance of restructured/stressed accounts post-resolution.
- Maintain close coordination with legal, compliance, and business teams for timely resolution and recovery.
- Reporting & Governance:
- Prepare and present detailed credit appraisal notes for senior credit committees.
- Track regulatory requirements (e.g., RBI norms on provisioning, resolution timelines).
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work with auditors, consultants, external legal counsel, ARCs, and rating agencies.
- Support senior management in strategic decision-making regarding asset sale or buyout.
- Process & Policy Adherence:
- Ensure adherence to internal credit risk policies and controls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of credit monitoring and early warning systems.
