Magic Bus India Foundation is one of the leading NGOs in education and skilling in India.

Over the past 26 years, the organisation has established a strong presence across 22 states and union territories, impacting the lives of young people from underserved communities between the ages of 12 to 25 years.

Through its two distinct programmes the Adolescent Programme and Livelihood Programme, Magic Bus equips young people with essential life and employability skills to help them move out of poverty and lead sustainable lives.

The Adolescent Programme empowers adolescents (12-18 years) with life skills education and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).

To support this, Magic Bus has established an impressive network of 30,000 schools, 343 Community Learning Centres (CLCs) and has MOUs with 10 state governments and NITI Aayog.

Notably, 52% of the participants are girls, reflecting the programmes strong focus on gender inclusion.

The Livelihood Programme prepares youth (1825 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills.

Magic Bus has set up 133 Livelihood Centres, built 1,130+ college partnerships, and established Entrepreneurship Incubation Centres to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities.

60% of the programmes participants are young women, highlighting a strong emphasis on empowering women through skilling.

In addition to its urban skilling initiatives, Magic Bus has also expanded into the Peri-Urban and Rural Livelihood Programme, focusing on empowering women in peri-urban and rural areas.

This programme equips women with leadership and business skills, enabling them to establish and sustain enterprises and move towards financial independence.

Through its sustained efforts, Magic Bus has empowered over 35 lakh adolescents and 5 lakh youth, enabling their transition from childhood to livelihood.

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented leader who can bring the energy of enterprise sales into the development sector.

As Director Fundraising, you will be responsible for securing large-scale CSR partnerships with corporates across India, helping to drive our mission through strategic, long-term funding relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales-Driven CSR Fundraising.

- Own and deliver aggressive fundraising targets through new and existing corporate partnerships.

- Identify and tap into CSR budgets of major Indian and multinational companies.

- Build a high-quality pipeline and drive end-to-end sales cycle: from lead generation to closure.

- Pitch compelling value propositions aligned with CSR priorities and Magic Bus programs.

- Negotiate funding terms and ensure financial and compliance alignment.

Strategic Partnerships & Key Account Management.

- Cultivate and manage relationships with CXOs, CSR heads, and decision-makers.

- Develop multi-year partnership roadmaps with key accounts.

- Ensure donor satisfaction, renewals, and expansion of funding.

- Drive reporting, communication, and recognition strategies to enhance engagement.

Collaboration & Representation.

- Work closely with program, finance, and communication teams to deliver on donor expectations.

- Represent Magic Bus at CSR forums, industry events, and thought leadership platforms.

- Lead branding efforts related to partnerships and campaigns.

Requirements:

Candidates with 20 + years experience from corporate sales / enterprise sales / B2B business development who are keen to cross over to non-profit work with a strong sense of purpose preferably from Banking, Financial Services, IT, Telecom.

- Proven track record in closing large deals, managing CXO relationships, and driving revenue.

- Should have corporate and HNI connects across multiple cities within India.

- Strong understanding of corporate CSR ecosystem preferred (or quick adaptability).

- Experience handling accounts with high financial value and national footprint.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for results and impact.

- High level of integrity and commitment to social change.
