Assistant General Manager- Interior

Role & responsibilities

Concept Development

• Create interior design concepts based on managements vision, industry trends, and functional needs.
• Collaborate closely with management to understand aesthetics, functional, and lifestyle needs.
• Present design proposals, mood boards, and material samples to management for approval.

Design and Planning

• Develop floor plans, layouts, and 3D renderings for office, commercial, and residential projects.
• Create detailed drawings, 3D renders, and mood boards to present design concepts.
• Prepare sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs
• Use design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans.

Material and Furniture Selection

• Source and select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures within the project budget.
• Source high-end materials, finishes, and accessories that align with the brands luxury and wellness image.
• Oversee the selection process of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to meet client requirements while staying within budget constraints.

Project Coordination and Execution

• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of interior design projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, painters, and builders to further understand how interior space should function, appear, and be furnished.
• Conduct site visits to assess spatial requirements and oversee design implementation.
• Oversee on-site execution to ensure design specifications are met and resolve any design-related challenges.
• Oversee the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Conduct periodic quality audits for assigned projects to ensure adherence to interior drawings and specifications during site execution and drawing development stages.
• Proactively identify potential risks associated with design decisions and project execution, highlighting them to all stakeholders for immediate action. Implement the approved mitigation plan for project completion on time.

Budgeting and Timelines

• Determine timelines and project costs and present accurate estimates to clients.
• Review the budgets for all assigned projects.
• Order or obtain necessary materials, adhering to project and budget specifications.
• Collate all updates on project progress and create dashboards to monitor progress in terms of budgets, timelines, and efficiency.
• Track all design change requests across all projects and ensure approvals are in place.

Team Communication

• Manage stakeholder relationships and provide updates throughout the design process to Management
• Ensure effective communication among team members through regular progress updates and feedback sessions.

Innovation and Trends

• Stay up to date with design trends in the industry to stay ahead of competitors.
• Contribute to inputs on value engineering at every stage of design development.
• Provide suggestions on emerging technologies and new materials to the Design Head.
