BIOS Coreboot Developer - FSP/x86 (5-10 yrs)

Job Title : BIOS CoreBoot Developer

Qualification : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field from a reputed institute.

A Masters degree from a reputed university is a strong advantage.

Work Mode : WFO [Fulltime]

Mandatory Skills :

- Coreboot & FSP Development

- Strong experience in x86 Coreboot, Intel FSP, and BIOS development.

- In-depth knowledge of Coreboot boot stages, UPDs, devicetree structure, memory initialization, and payloads (handoff to

OS bootloader).

Technical Proficiency :

- Expertise in C programming.

- Strong understanding of x86/x86_64 CPU/APU architectures and toolchains.

- Experience with platform bring-up including GPIO, PCIe lane mapping, and board configuration (fmd).

Protocol & Firmware Knowledge :

- Proficient in industry-standard protocols : PCIe, SPI, eSPI, ACPI, SMM.

- Hands-on experience with Intel FSP packages, including source-level understanding of FSP boot flow and configuration.

Payloads & UEFI Interfacing :

- Familiarity with Coreboot payloads : Tianocore, EDK2, SeaBIOS.

- Understanding of UEFI framework concepts and porting UEFI code to FSP-compatible environments.

Hardware Awareness :

- Ability to interpret platform schematics and processor datasheets to drive mainboard porting and bring-up.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Working knowledge of Git for version control, code reviews, and release management.

- Capability to handle BIOS customization requests across multiple teams and project requirements.

- Familiarity with UEFI BIOS boot flows and Linux kernel config concepts (e.g., Kconfig).

- Experience contributing to or working with the open-source coreboot community.
