Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and administer Confluent Kafka clusters in hybrid environments.
- Manage Kafka brokers, zookeepers, schema registry, Kafka Connect, and related services.
- Monitor Kafka infrastructure using JMX monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, etc.
- Design and implement Kafka topics, partitions, replication, and ACLs to ensure secure and scalable operations.
- Collaborate with development teams for Kafka-based event-driven architecture solutions.
- Implement and manage Kafka Connectors to integrate with various source and sink systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
- Automate Kafka administration tasks using Shell Scripting, JavaScript, or automation tools like Ansible.
- Optimize Kafka performance and capacity planning.
- Work in coordination with DevOps teams to manage Kafka deployment in Kubernetes/Docker environments.
- Support cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for Kafka deployment and scalability.
- Apply and promote SOLID principles and best practices in platform management and automation.
- Maintain documentation of Kafka infrastructure and configurations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and
consulting skills.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Core Java (8.0).
- Proficient in Linux OS and commands.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls).
- Experience with event-driven architecture and stream processing concepts.
- Experience with Kafka Connect, schema registry, Kafka security, and Kafka Streams.
- Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Working knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Scripting skills in JavaScript and Shell.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace).
- Familiar with DevOps tools and automation frameworks such as Ansible.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Understanding and application of SOLID principles in system design and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud Kafka deployments.
