Automation Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance (2-5 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Applies basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve routine issues.

- Determines a course of action based on guidelines.

- Works on assignments of limited scope where answers can be readily obtained and problem solving requires following standard practices/procedures.

- Develops working relationships internally.

- Exchanges standard/basic information with colleagues, immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the team/group.

- Requires guided leadership and receives general instruction on work / new assignments.

- Work is reviewed periodically based on a set of defined procedures or precedents.

- Review test cases and test plans to ensure verification coverage of software requirements.

- Execute test cases and produce verification evidence and reports.

- Develop and review automated test code and scripts.

- Ensure identified bugs are recorded, tracked, and verified.

- Be an advocate for our SDLC and ensure that software is verified in compliance with our quality management system and medical device standards.

Requirements :

- Experience in automated test development using Python and Selenium.

- Experience in creating test cases from software requirements.

- Detailed knowledge of different software testing methodologies and when to apply them.

- Experience in testing REST APIs and Web UIs.

- Comfortable at the Linux command line.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Qualifications : Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific subject.

- Experience/Education : Typically requires 0 to 2 years of previous professional experience.

Desirable :

- Experience in software verification within a regulated environment, ideally to medical device standards.

- Use of Jama and Jira for requirements management.

- Experience with version control using Git and GitHub.

- Foundation ISEB / ISTQB Certification in Software Testing (or equivalent).
