Google Cloud Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud services.
• Configure Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles and policies.
• Implement VPC security, firewall rules, and private networking best practices.
• Secure GCP workloads (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine).
• Implement and monitor security controls via Google Security Command Center (SCC).
• Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis.
• Respond to and manage cloud security incidents.
• Automate security operations using tools like Cloud Functions, Terraform, and Deployment Manager.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud security (preferably in GCP).
• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
• Strong understanding of GCP services: IAM, VPC, Cloud KMS, Cloud Armor, SCC, Chronicle, etc.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD integration.
• Knowledge of encryption, data protection, and key management in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
