Technology Specialist - Firmware

The Technology Specialist is responsible for design and development of reliable and cost-effective Power electronic products which satisfy the business needs of TMEIC India. The position requires excellent technical engineering knowledge coupled with proficiency in product development and quality systems with a constant eye for improvements.

Experience:

Must have 2 to 6 Years of Experience in Firmware Design in following areas:

• Writing control algorithm loops for AC-DC converter or DC-DC converter or DC-AC inverter
• Simulation or coding experience in designing digital filters, signal processing and PID controls.
• Experience in writing clean and manageable C code with proper documentation.
• Testing and evaluating the firmware (on bench / on system/ on field)
• Able to understand existing code and modify as per the new requirements.
• Experience in board level debugging using multimeter and oscilloscope, by referring schematics.
• Version Control in Git or equivalent
• Adaptable to changing requirements and feedback.

Desired experience:

• Experience in working on C-HIL systems like Typhoon HIL/ RTDS or equivalent.
• Worked on a complex firmware development project (100s of C files)
• Able to use communication libraries and other supporting features in the code.
• Experience in control algorithms for PV Inverter, UPS, Induction/Synchronous motors.

Knowledge

• Solid knowledge of Firmware development, Embedded C, C2000 microcontrollers.
• Expert in programming Microcontroller in Embedded C standard programming practices and multicore microcontroller devices.
• Good working knowledge of Power electronics controls like PID, Feed forward, PLL, State machine, FOC control.
• Working knowledge of Firmware development in Power Electronics Products like inverter, drive, DC-DC converter.
• Good understanding of communication protocols.

Education

• Essential: - Good and Consistent Academic Records with Bachelors degree in Electrical /Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Desired: - Masters degree in with specialization in Digital Electronics / Power Electronics
