No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Nothing, I used to when I join.

Dislikes

...icy - they update the policy whenever they want. And didn't update you about it. And do unnecessary salary deduction. They can also deduct the salary without informing you because they have newly added policy and you have no idea about it. And they didn't justify the deduction because they also didn't know why we deduct so they just give name to the new deduction as a new policy. They be like "hmare yhn aisa hi hota hai" They didn't have better project. Low salary as per market standards.

No - They hired me for VUE development and giving me Node js technology work, RnD Projects which is out my scope and knowledge. They don't have clear requirements

Payment not on Time. I mentioned its been hactic working on this project as requirement was not clear. and getting me more frustration. So decided to quite after month end but they haven't pay me for the month i worked on.
