In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. Overrated Culture Lots of partiality happens within the company, the same rule doesn't apply for everyone. It changes person to person. Basically someone who is in the good books of his/her boss, his/her job is secured, and vice versa. Very hidden & toxic culture. If the company is running in loss or not making good profits, then how can they spend money for people for Maldives tour or Annual Event in lacs? They probably can cancel everything and just focus on the work.
