GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

There are way too many meetings that happen at work. Also, the compensation is bit lesser compared to the competitors in the market.

1. Work life balance is not created but needs constant declaration 2. Compensation is slightly lower conpated to the market. Hence, puts employees under the shadow of demotivatioj sometimes. 3. Middle managers in the org need to acquire more agency 4. A lot of sub par hiring is being done to be feasible financially but works the other way around for the company

The Best thing about CaratLane is the Open Culture which provides a great Freedom to do the Job. Because of this you never feel the Work Pressure. Also, the Flexible work timings are a big green flag for me. This kind of atmosphere helps people to take risks and learn new things. People working in CaratLane have a sense of responsibility and belonging towards the Company.

The culture and the general vibe of the people. The freedom to work across departments. Work life balance for me, although I cannot speak of behalf of everyone in respect to this. Approachable nature of the management and openness to listen.

Dislikes

Less clarity on employee benefits, appraisals, TDS filing to help with less deduction in salary and future growth in the company. Not all communication reaches on time. Project pipelines often becomes a roadblock when there is a cross departmental requirement. Need to build more trust within employees with regards to being heard or taking feedback anonymously. Team work is a bit scattered due to which not all members have regular invites or updates on meetings and progress.
